First, raw water enters the pressure vessel under controlled pressure. Then, it flows through multiple layers of carefully graded filtration media, including:

Because of this multi-layer filtration design, the filter bed captures dirt, suspended particles, and turbidity effectively. During the filtration cycle, the media retains impurities and prevents them from moving downstream. Consequently, the treated water becomes clearer and suitable for further treatment processes.
However, as filtration continues, the filter media gradually accumulates retained particles. As a result, the pressure drop across the vessel increases steadily. Once the pressure reaches a predetermined limit, the system temporarily shuts down for cleaning.
To maintain optimal performance, we implement a structured backwash process. When the pressure drop rises, the system reverses the water flow. Therefore, trapped impurities are flushed out from the filter bed quickly and efficiently.
After backwashing, we rinse the filter using raw or filtered water. Then, once the required water quality is achieved, the system resumes normal operation. Depending on the application and water quality requirements, we perform backwashing with either raw water or filtered water.
